kahs#0007 Woman in pearls

Although the KAHS newsletter indicates that the subject of this photograph is Isabelle Black, Mona W. and Pat L. believe she is Mrs. Katherine Sullivan of Dixon Street. Our first controversy! Anyone else care to weigh in?

Doesn't look like Kitty Gram to me. We lived two houses from her. BUT, I only knew her as a neat old grandmother who always had time, cookes and lemonade for whatever neighborhood kid knocked on her door. I knew she was in politics and after I grew up I found out she was a member of the "state board of control, reformatory, charitable and penal institutions" and she was secretary of the Kaukauna BPW club, of which my mom was a member. Katherine was the wife of Dr. S.C. Sullivan a kaukauna mayor so there should be more pictures around if this is indeed Katherine. She died October 14, 1966 and her obituary is in the Oshkosh Northwestern.
